# g. V4 ~, M, x8 @7 A4 T　　一只短腿大耳的可爱猎犬，由于不会追踪猎物，受到性情残暴的主人凌虐。三番两次离家出走的它，却都在邻居无可奈何，又不愿招惹麻烦的情形下，被送还给原来的主人。一天，它又再度逃跑，遇见了小男孩马提。马提和小狗非常投缘，不但将它取名为雪洛，还向雪洛的主人表明收养雪洛的意愿，但没想到对方竟开价数十元美金。自此，马提到处打零工，从油漆粉刷到篱芭整修，只要是能赚钱的工作，他绝不会错过，最终的目的都只是要让雪洛早日脱离魔掌。雪洛的命运似乎就操纵在这区区数十元美金，但对于一个小男孩而言，要取得这笔金额可不容易。马提的努力可以使愿望实现吗？
